Who the collective agreement applies to
In partnership with the trade unions GMB and UNISON we have undertaken a process to review, amend, negotiate and agree new terms, conditions and pay.
A collective agreement between ourselves and both unions sets outs the new Pay and Reward arrangements that will apply to you from 1 December 2025. This means that you will move onto the new pay structure and the new terms and conditions will apply to you from 1 December 2025.
The terms of the agreement apply to all our colleagues including:
- the chief executive
- chief officers
- youth workers
- craft workers
- colleagues in support roles in maintained schools where we are the employer
- colleagues who have TUPE transferred from the preceding councils prior to the formation of BCP Council
- colleagues who have TUPE transferred into BCP Council since its formation but prior to 1 December 2025
- colleagues who have been appointed into a role in BCP Council since 1 April 2019
