As well as equal pay for all, we are pleased to share a single set of terms and conditions for all or our colleagues.

The new arrangements bring flexibility and choice to your working life.

Pay and allowances

Our new terms and conditions contain some key features around your pay and allowances such as:

  • salary at the Real Living Wage or above
  • a period of pay protection for 18 months
  • sickness leave at full pay for up to 6 months
  • time and a half plus a day off 'in lieu' for working on a bank holiday
  • time and a half pay for any overtime worked after 37 hours in a week
  • payments for standby, call out, and night work
  • flexible retirement options for colleagues from 55 years old
  • the same redundancy calculation for all regardless of age
  • subsistence paid for working over 30 miles away from base location and HMRC rates for work-related travel expense

Annual leave and time off

Our new terms and conditions contain some key features around your annual leave and time off such as:

  • 28 days of annual leave that rises to 31 after 2 years
  • enhanced family friendly package for maternity, paternity, adoption and shared parental leave
  • additional leave for carers, bereavement, disability, family emergencies, volunteering, study, reservists and career breaks
  • the opportunity to buy up to ten additional days’ leave or sell up to five days’ leave each year (not applicable on term time contracts)
